How to make my CSV file readible?

If you exported your profiles they will by default be downloaded as a CSV file. Learn how you can split the columns.

This feature's availability depends on your subscription plan and role.

Definitions: A CSV (comma-separated values) file is a simple text file in which information is separated by commas. CSV files are most commonly encountered in spreadsheets and databases. This will be the format data will be provided to you when exporting from Izix.

Why should I split the columns in my CSV file?

When you export a file in Izix, by default it will be exported as a CSV file. You will then notice after downloading the file, that the columns are not split and that is why you cannot read the data. 

Below you can see how you can in just a few steps split the columns. 

How do I split columns in my CSV file to make the data readible?

  1. Select Column “A”

  2. Click on the tab “Data”

  3. Click on “Split text to columns”

  4. Click on “Detect automatically” (appears in column A)

  5. A few options are displayed in the little menu

  6. Click on “Custom”

  7. Insert “;

  8. The data is correctly split in the different columns
