How can I log in if my invitation has expired?

If your invitation link is no longer valid, you can quickly regain access by requesting a new invitation from your organisation admin (or by using the login recovery options, depending on your setup).

This article is intended for:
Izix end users who were invited to join an organisation but can’t access the platform because the invitation expired

Izix admins / organisation managers who need to re-invite a user

1- How to recognize an expired invitation

Your invitation is likely expired if:

  • You click the invite link from your email and see a message like “Invitation expired”, “Link is no longer valid”, or you’re redirected back to login without being able to set up access.
  • You never completed the invitation flow (e.g., you didn’t finish account setup after receiving the invite).

Why this happens: invitation links are typically time-limited for security reasons.

2- Solution 1 (recommended): Ask your admin to resend the invitation

If your invitation expired, the fastest fix is usually to receive a new invitation email.

For Izix users (you were invited)

    1. Contact the person who invited you (often your office manager, property manager, or company admin for Izix).
    2. Ask them to resend your Izix invitation to the same email address you want to use to log in.
    3. Open the new email and click the latest invitation link.
    4. Complete the account setup steps shown on screen

Tip: If you have multiple invitation emails, always use the most recent one—older links may be invalid

For Izix admins (resending an invite)

    1. Open the Izix admin interface for your organisation.
    2. Go to the section where you manage users / members / profiles.
    3. Locate the user.
    4. Click Resend invitation (or invite them again if “resend” isn’t available).
    5. Confirm the email address and send.

Note: If the user’s email address was typed incorrectly in the first invite, correct it before resending.

3- Solution 2: Try the login page recovery options (if available)

Depending on your organisation’s authentication setup, you may be able to log in without re-inviting.

  1. Go to the Izix login page (the same page you normally use to sign in).2_ Login screen-2-3
  2. Look for an option like:
    • Forgot password / Reset password
      3_ Login screen forgot pswd-1
    • or Send a login code (email code login)
3_ Login screen email sign in-3
  3. Follow the prompts.

Tip: Use the exact same email address that was invited. If you use another email, Izix may treat you as a different person and you may not see the right organisation or permissions.

Important: If you were never successfully invited/activated, password reset may not work until an admin sends a new invitation.

4- If you still can’t log in (what to send Support)

If neither solution works, collect the following so Support can resolve it faster:

  • The email address you’re trying to use
  • The organisation / building / company name you should have access to
  • A screenshot or the exact text of the error message (e.g., “Invitation expired”)
  • Whether you are trying to log in via:
    • web browser, or
    • mobile app (include app version if possible)

Note: For privacy and security, avoid sharing passwords or one-time codes

5- FAQ

  • “I clicked the invite link but it says expired. Can you extend it?”

    • Invitation links can’t usually be extended. The standard approach is to send a new invitation.

  • “I didn’t receive the new invitation email.”

    • Check spam/junk and any company email filtering/quarantine.
    • Search your mailbox for “Izix” and “invitation”.
    • Ask your admin to resend it again.
    • Confirm the invite was sent to the correct email address.
  • “I have access to one organisation, but not the one I was invited to.”
    • This usually means:
      • you logged in with a different email address than the one that was invited, or

      • your admin needs to re-invite you to the correct organisation.
