Learn how to create a lease to sublet your parking spots.
This feature's availability depends on your subscription plan and role.
Definition: A lease is an agreement between two organisations, where an organisation (the lessor) delegates the usage rights of its parking spots (or a subset of spots) to another organization (the tenant).
Once an organisation has rights to a parking spot, it can use it and/or lease it again. In this way, the usage rights can be transferred (leased) over and again. That means that the lessor is not always the owner of the parking lot.
What is a lease and why do I need it?
The Izix lease follows the same principle as any lease agreement you would sign with a third-party: it will define the amount of spots a company can use and other practicalities (e.g. the access hours of the parking lot). For a tenant to be able to manage their own parking spots and access the parking lot, a lease will be required. A lease is therefore created by the owner of a parking lot and empowers the tenant to make use of the allocated spots.
Key information to keep in mind:
- Once created, a lease cannot be modified
- If there are no more parking spots available, the lease cannot be created.
- For existing tenants, the lease creation will be effective immediately.
- For a new tenant, the lease will not be effective immediately. The Izix will do the necessary and get back to you asap to confirm the creation of the new tenant and lease.
- A parking owner organisation can make use of their own parking spots by creating a lease in their own name. This is a so-called self-lease.
How can I create a lease?
The lease overview and lease creation button can be found in the parking management interface. The overview will show all current leases.
